Here are some ways and options that you can get in to the habit of doing to help decrease the amount of wildfires and ensure you do not get yourself caught in one.
Stop yourself from littering
One of the main prevention methods is to stop littering. Many wildfires are first started because there is burning debris left on the roads, near campfires and near the general waste bins. The places where there is most likely to be debris will be the cause of the fire, and eventually will pick up more debris along the way , however, if there is grass, plant-life or even trees along the way, this could be trouble. So the next time you try and litter, think again and just throw your rubbish inside of a bin properly to prevent something you will regret from happening. Also ensure that you put out cigarette butts out too.
Do not play with fireworks
Younger kids love fireworks, but they might not know the harmful effects on themselves or the environment that the impact of a firework can cause. If used in the wrong manner, the firework can cause extreme damage depending on the size and the power of the firework itself. Please make sure that you know how to use the fireworks, otherwise don't risk your life into buying one. These fireworks can start a firework if they take off in an enclosed space where there are trees or even other humans. Only play with fireworks around adult supervision and let them light the string and stay a safe distance from the firework itself.
Follow the local laws and regulations on fire safety
Ensure that you follow all the local laws and regulations that the government have set up regarding when you can burn fires, what times of the year are suitable and what the suitable materials are for doing so. Checking what type of substances can be burned to create a fire is also worth checking otherwise there can be consequences like fines or other penalties. People can keep up with the changes being made to these laws so that they stay up to date with everything that is going on regarding fire safety. Do not use any combustible materials around nature reserves like forests, jungles or parks.
Keeping up to date with the weather
People can keep up to date with the weather forecasts where they reside across all platforms so that they don't end up burning and substances or materials that they are not supposed to, this can damage the surrounding area as well as being charged with a penalty. Certain areas are more prone to wildfires than others which means that checking the area's weather and staying updated is important.
