Logo Redesign
I was contacted by Shivani who is the owner of FUSIONbySV, to redesign her business logo. Keeping true to the existing brand identity, it now adds charm and a modern flair to their current business idea. FUSIONbySV is a small business that customises bindi cards according to the customer's needs and their traditional outfits.

I had the role of updating the brand identity of FUSION while keeping in mind what the existing brand identity already is, therefore I did not make too many changes so, what I did want to do is modernise it so that it does not look or feel outdated.
On the previous logo, there was a gradient throughout the logo which made it harder in my opinion to see what the name of the business was. I have made sure not to use a gradient as I feel this not only ruins the logo but it does not allow the logo to fully appeal to the customer. One of my main concerns was that there was only one logo and this meant that the customers would only see the one logo, however, what I wanted to do was a monochromatic version of the logo so there can be a secondary version.
Another issue was the typography, because the former logo used a bold typeface, I decided to keep the same style but the problem was that I did not know which typeface was used, thus, what I did was use the pen tool on Illustrator to manipulate and go over the original typeface to create the same typeface without actually using the original typeface that was used on the former logo. The typeface below is a thin typeface (SF UI DISPLAY) and I used it to contrast the bold style that was used for the word 'fusion'. I did use some kerning for the name because it adds a modern touch and feel to the new logo.
Although I did not need to change much in the logo, I am very pleased with how the final redesigned logo turned out, it does not look pixelated and unclear anymore, I was able to remove the gradient from the logo and there is a PNG version of it and there is also now a monochromatic version of the logo too which I feel is a must for every business to have. The client was also pleased with the results of the logo redesign. I want to thank both Shivani and FUSIONbySV for this wonderful opportunity and for trusting me with to come up with a logo.
